Nearby shared house provides bathrooms, kitchen with refrigerator, kettle, and coffee machine. Table space accommodates four people.

THOR lodge, situated on the outermost left side, offers great privacy with views of Mount Burfell, Bjolfell, and the highlands, along with the river. Positioned slightly downhill, it is recommended for those with reduced mobility to consider booking Odin or Alva Lodge.

Many visitors recommended those cottages for their modern amenities and tasteful decoration. After a hike, I envision relaxing on the terrace, with each cottage boasting a patio and mountain views.

Additionally, parking space is conveniently provided right in front of the cottage. The following useful services are included: self check-in, bedding, towels, stove, mini-fridge, microwave, and free Wi-Fi.

There is no breakfast served. Unless you want to do self-catering, you can have your meals at the nearest Cafe Vatnajökull (6.5 km) serving sandwiches, soups and homemade pastries. The nearest restaurant and a shop in Freysnes, Veitingasala Restaurant (14 km) offers a buffet service including vegan and vegetarian options. There are not many restaurants around so it’s better to bring your own food, coffee or tea. The cottages are well equipped for the self-catering.
