One day, I came across the blog of a British traveler, Alastair Humphreys. He cycled around the world, but upon returning home, he felt something was missing. He came up with something he called “microadventures.”
Even while living in a vast city like London, within an hour, you can be in a beautiful place devoid of urban hustle and bustle.
Thanks to Alastair, I realized that adventure isn’t just found in South America, where I still haven’t been able to reach.
Adventure is right here, under our noses, in suburban forests, nearby cliffs. Adventure is an attitude towards life.
Adventure lies within us, and nature allows us to unleash it.
I
I fell in love with this concept of exploring deeper, wherever you are, and I started to apply it myself, continuously developing ways to make my micro-adventures unforgettable.
I’m here to show you how to enhance your exploration by engaging all your senses. Our five senses can enrich your experiences and leave a lasting impression on your travels and lifestyle. Immersive experiences trigger strong emotions, fostering deeper and more enduring memories. Sparking curiosity adds depth to your adventures.
I’m enthusiastic about experiencing cultures through a multi-sensory lens, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the essence of a place. In today’s world, having the time and space to engage all our senses is a luxury.
The aim of my blog is to discover and offer insider advice and exclusive suggestions for immersive experiences in Nordic and West Europe that engage multiple senses. My goal is to spark curiosity and awaken the inner adventurer.
As Arthur Symons said, “The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.”
